Eps 19 Hope

The City A.

"O dear beautiful women, does anyone miss me?"

Two women who were busy chatting in the gazebo beside the pool were surprised by his presence.

"Royan?" shout them at the same time.

The young man who approached them smiled sweetly, "How are you?" he hugged Florenza who made the woman next to him slightly sing his lips.

"Well, this is the condition of Mother" Florenza replied after letting go of the hug.

"Get well Mom, don't keep getting sick. I am saddened to see you sick like this" said Royan, clasping Florenza's hands attentively.

"Yes son," Florenza rubbed Royan's cheek.

"Ehem."

The woman next to him cleared his throat, obviously Royan and Florenza held back the laughter he made.

"Mother, it seems that the woman next to you is jealous," he whispered to Florenza who immediately got a hard blow on his shoulder.

Royan said, "Mom, help me!" he pretended to be scared by hiding behind Florenza's back.

"Based on a brash kid, who are you really, huh? Your mom's here, but you didn't say anything."

Royan and Florenza laughed.

"Hehe, I'm sorry my dear mama!" Royan hugged and kissed Martha's cheek that had been touched just to tease her.

"You here, why don't you tell Mama you want to go home today?" martha protested by rubbing her son's shoulder.

"I'm intentionally Ma, let's be surprised."

They laughed and missed each other. Although Royan is the son of Martha, but Florenza loves Royan like his own child.

"Clark where's Roy?" ask Florenza hoping.

"Em, Brother can't come yet Ma'am. He's handling business in S town."

"City S? Isn't all the business in town your responsibility, Roy?" Martha asked.

Royan seemed confused to answer.

"E... Ma, I'm hungry. I miss Mama's cooking so much" Royan turned the speaker around. Indirectly, he wants to talk alone with Florenza.

"Yes, okay. Mama's gonna make you your favorite meal."

Martha who understood Royan's intentions left them both.

"What's wrong with Clark, Royan?" ask Florenza who understands the attitude of her stepson.

"Look, ma'am" Royan sat closer and closer to him.

"Actually, what the hell happened to Brother when I was studying abroad first? About her boyfriend or her special person maybe?"

Florenza was silent for a moment.

"Exactly. I guess the reason Big Brother holds S town is because of a woman from his past."

"Is that woman named Leona?" there was a vibration in his tone.

"Yes ma'am, from the information I got, her name is indeed Leona. But I can't get more information. Even Jason doesn't know about that woman."

"Of course Jason wouldn't know. He was by Clark's side a year after the incident."

Florenza started telling me about Clark five years ago.

Royan did know about the accident that hit Clark. But about the wedding, their father closed the matter tightly after the incident at the time.

Florenza clenched her hands tightly.

"Is that woman flirting with him again?"

"It doesn't seem like that, Mom!"

"What do you mean Roy?" the Florenza tears have fallen.

"The last time I saw Brother, he looked unhappy and also angry after a night of not coming home," said Royan remembering how the look on his stepbrother's face when he came home.

"But strangely, when in the office it actually looks relaxed and not as usual. So how is Mom? I still don't understand Brother's attitude."

Royan is confused himself.

"The woman just dumped him, but why is Clark looking for her again?" it is clear that there is a dislike expression from Florenza.

Leona was sitting by the window looking at the raindrops out there hugging her knees.

Leona recalls a moment ago with Clark.

He could feel the fear of the man who was hugging him.

But I don't want to be stuck a second time. That's what's always been on his mind.

Once enough he felt deceived by the sweet words of the man who had denied his feelings.

His heart will be more shaky if too often with the man he once loved so much.

And keeping that man out of his life was the right decision. Especially with his daughter.

Don't give Clark any space, Leona doesn't want Shofia to rely on her. They had no hope of ever being together again.

"Mother!"

The two-pointed little girl shook her mother's arm.

"Yes dear," Leona was surprised.

He turned his head while wiping away the tears that had been out since when to wet his smooth cheeks.

"So, why don't you come again?" Shofia revealed teary eyes with her tiny, slightly quivering lips.

Just moments ago when Clark forced her to drive home from the seminar, she begged to meet Shofia, but Leona refused.

And now, he was at a loss for himself how to explain it to Shofia.

"Ec ... That, Daddy's busy, baby. I'll be coming soon!" finally the words came out of his mouth.

Why would I say that anyway?

Leona cursed at her own words. And look at the consequences, the little girl he loved so much looked happy as if finding a hope with sparkling eyes.
