Ep. 10 - After Marriage

Marriage should be something that gives the most beautiful memory in every life of a person as well as a couple. However, why is one thing that should be a happy thing, it becomes something scary.

Smile, warm attitude that Edelweis had been expecting from the figure of Jonathan all this time, why now it is actually creepy he felt? As if he knew, if all this was a mere charade. If you can choose, then Edelweis will choose Jonathan who always said spicy to him. No, Jonathan is now the one who immediately agreed on what he said.

“Jo,”

Jonathan, sitting beside Edelweis, turned to the woman. They are now enjoying dinner after the completion of the wedding ceremony as well as the reception which was attended by only a few people. Invitational guests are present only the closest people; business partners are also relatives who are not too much. Their marriage was completely closed, private without any media knowing, even though Jonathan's own family owned the media. The private marriage itself Edelweis requested, although in fact this marriage occurred to clear their name from the sloping news that was milling about those who had no relationship but had lived one roof. However, inexplicably, seeing Jonathan's change of attitude made Edelweis afraid of himself, making him insist on keeping this marriage a secret from the media.

Edelweis nodded, he continued to eat again without any chatter between them, only silence to accompany. Until the night was getting late, Edelweis had finished cleaning himself.

Edelweis came out of the bathroom with a bathrobe attached to his body, his hair still half wet. He stood in the doorway, staring at Jonathan who was on the balcony of the hotel room turned his back on him.

Edelweis stepped closer, he was standing at the connecting door between the balcony as well as the room. “Jo,” call Edelweis.

Jonathan cleared his throat, he twisted his body and found Edelweis. For a moment, he stared silently at Edelweis. “Why?” ask Jonathan.

“Lo wants to clean up, right? Yaudah, there! I'm done with.”

Jonathan nodded. “Ok.” said Jonathan, he breezed past Edelweis just like that. However, there was a slight sigh in his body as he inhaled the scent of Edelweis' hair that accidentally greeted his face.

Edelweis stared at Jonathan. She stared at her reflection in the mirror, her face without the slightest makeup polish still looks beautiful, her hair that decomposes just like that looks beautiful. Did Jonathan never fall for her? Edelweis asked repeatedly to himself.

To be honest, Edelweis once fell in love with Jonathan. However, the feeling did not grow for long, just a glance. It was also at their first meeting, where at that time Edelweis' parents were still there. However, since living together, Jonathan's attitude is much different. The man always looked at her cynically and disliked her. Lost already the feeling of admiration Edelweis first in the man. But, somehow he felt that the feeling would grow back. Did ya?

“Tonight what, yes?”

Edelweis was not an innocent woman, she knew what a married couple might do on their first night after it was official. Will it happen to Jonathan too? Given this marriage occurs because of the arranged marriage made by parents.

Edelweis shook his head quickly, he put all the naughty thoughts running rampant in his mind.

“Crazy, crazy, no way Del. I'm wearing clothes and sleeping, resting. Lo this is tired, Del. Come on!”

Edelweis immediately rushed towards his suitcase, opening it to choose the clothes that would be worn to sleep tonight. However, how surprised he was when he actually found some indecent clothes.

Okay, Edelweis does like to wear clothes with less material. But, what was in his suitcase this time was completely unreasonable. Edelweis still had the brain not to wear this kind of clothes in front of men, even though the man was her husband now. But, if Jonathan and Edelweis love each other, maybe Edelweis will be happy to wear clothes like this. Whereas, actually?

“Ih, crazy! This mah not less material anymore, but not modal material!”

Edelweis gaped as he pulled one piece of clothing, ah cloth more precisely. It is really just a thread of rope that is useful to cover some sensitive things on the body.

“Crazy, crazy! What am I wearing?”

Edelweis rummaged through his suitcase, hoping that there would be one piece of clothing worth wearing. But, there's no. Everything is not worth it.

Edelweis moving, “Handphone where the hell?” annoyed Edelweis, he searched his cell phone here and there, but he never found it.

“Gue how now?” Edelweis dropped his ass on the bed, sighing in frustration.

Until the bathroom door opens, it features Jonathan exiting with the bathrobe he is wearing. Edelweis widened his eyes, he gulped roughly his own saliva as Jonathan stared at him long enough with a gaze that was somehow meaningless.

“Gue tired, Del.”

Edelweis frowned hearing Jonathan's words. “Gue is also tired, indeed lo doang.”

Jonathan passed by Edelweis, he headed for his suitcase and picked up his clothes. “Terus lo why not change clothes too?” jonathan asked, he was surprised when he opened the suitcase not even found a single piece of clothing. “Loh, where are my clothes?” Jonathan asked Edelweis.

Edelweis was confused, he approached Jonathan and he was surprised to see Jonathan's empty suitcase. He looked up at the man, “This must be aunty Emm's job, my clothes just don't exist. Therefore, I have not changed clothes.”

Jonathan sighed harshly, he should have thought of this possibility. Surely his mother would do all this, she should know it.

“Not kayak ever difficult, lo. Just ask people to buy our clothes, done right?”

“Iya, too. The problem is where my phone is. I didn't see the phone from earlier. Mobile phone is there, right?”

Jonathan nodded, “Let me ask my men to buy us clothes.”

Edelweis nodded, “Iya. But, I want my clothes that are not tacky color, which is cool if it is made and another one must be branded, yes. I do not want your men to buy carelessly and make me gatel-gatel because the clothes are cheap.”

“Oke.” Jonathan breezed past Edelweis to pick up his phone on the nightstand.

Edelweis gaped, he poked his lips. “Nyebelin.” annoyed Edelweis to see Jonathan's response like this.

Edelweis stomped his feet, he immediately approached the man. “Jo, why the hell? Keep me annoyed!”

Jonathan squinted his eyes, he shook his head in wonder. “Bikin you pissed off? I never even protested what you want, everyone wants you, I yayin. What makes a baby?”

“Yes, the! Lo who immediately agreed, it makes me upset! Why not just protest?”

Jonathan sighed furiously, he smiled obliquely. “Lo want me to protest kayak usually?” Edelweis. “But, can you guarantee that I will not ruin my life, the lives of the people around me?” ask Jonathan.

Edelweis frowned confused at Jonathan's question. “What do you mean, Jo? Wait, I clarified one thing lo.”

“Lo tuh actually have the same problem me? You always say that if I ruin your life, I am this, I am that. We had a problem before what? I don't feel like you have the same problem, but you act like I'm the most wrong here.”

Jonathan laughed, he rolled his eyes. “Not hypocritical, Del. We are not close, but I am not very bego-bego to be able to recognize the nature of people.”

“Means?”

“Lo thinks to himself. And, one more thing I want to take with you. We are married, it does not mean you can be the same as me. This marriage is just status, it means nothing to me. And, I really beg you to not benefitin all this to satisfy your will. Okay.”

Afterwards, Jonathan left Edelweis who was still silently pensive not understanding the intent of the man's words.

“So, Papa has prepared a home for you.”

Edelweis smiled happily, “Oh, huh? How come Om—means me, Papa didn't tell me earlier?” edelweis asked, he was very enthusiastic when he found out that his in-laws had prepared a house for him as well as Jonathan. Oh, yes she has started to get used to calling her in-laws as Mama, Papa is no longer Om, aunty as before.

“Kan surprise his name. Anyway, yeah. Mama sure, you like the same house that we have prepared. Anyway your dream house once.” said Emmeline, she smiled sumringah.

Edelweis widened his smile even more, but when his eyes looked at Jonathan who was just silent it made his smile fade. Seeing the change in the look on Edelweis's face made the two parents look at each other and know what the reason was through the gaze that Edelweis showed.

“Jo,”

Jonathan flinched, he stopped his mouthful and raised both his eyebrows asking.

“Papa already ready home for you,” obviously Angga back.

Jonathan nodded. “Iya.”

“Jo... How did that respond?”

“Yes, how should I do? I refuse, can I? Not exactly, right?”

“Yes, but not quietly either. As if you appreciate your Papa who is ready for home for you.”

Jonathan sighed harshly, “Iya, thanks. But I didn't ask either, did I?” jonathan said, he was feeding back indifferent food.

Edelweis who saw Jonathan who changed, can only be silent now made. He immediately looked at Angga who immediately laughed out loud for some reason. Everyone stared at the puzzled Angga who still had not stopped his laughter.

“You should be grateful, have parents who can love you everything. You don't have to bother to do this, you just ask, shut up and enjoy everything.”

Jonathan chuckled at Papa's words. “Yes and because of that, I have to be a puppet that can be controlled at any time, at will. If I refuse, I'm at risk too. Isn't that right, Pa?” jonathan asked, smiling cynically and looking at Angga who knew where Jonathan meant.

Angga raised his chin haughty, “When do you want to live where after marriage? It's impossible to live here? Although actually notpapa, this house will also be your home. But, as a good parent, Papa with the initiative to prepare a home for you who know you want to live independently so. After all, his house is also no less big than this house.”

“Papa asked, do we want to be independent or not? Yes, then Papa should not have to prepare it all, let alone overdo it like that. After all, there is no house I can take Edel to the apartment.”

Wrong, Jonathan cursed himself who just replied. Of course Edelweis did not want to come with him to live in an apartment, surely the woman chose to live here or the house her parents had offered. Where would the haughty woman live in an apartment that is even a quarter of this house.
