At nightfall, when dinner Ami came to deliver food. He remains a byword, while Aditia is busy cleaning dirty dishes and also beberes, because this is the schedule of pickets.
He's picketed with Aris.
“Dit, you were the negor of an elite herd huh?”
“Hmm.” Aditia answered only then.
“You why negue them?”
“Not just tell me, next time don't be so.”
“You shouldn't be rude to them Dit, who knows you can take us both to be friends with them.”
“No need, we can all find out, but on the basis that we both want to cement, not because of mutual use.”
“Sorry Yes Dit.”
“Why apologize?” Aditia asked.
“Because you feel I benefitin.” Aris left again disappointed like this morning.”
“Ris, I mean no.” Aris is gone too late.
“Why?” Ami's voice, she went to the kitchen to give the dirty dishes.
“Nothing.” Aditia takes dirty dishes from Ami.” hands
“Gue help ya.”
“Please if you want mah.”
Ami squatting next to Aditia helps wash dishes.
“You used to work on this?” Ami asked.
“Wash plate?”
“Yes, all this, dishwashing, beberes.”
“Yes, Dita and I do homework in turn. If Dita washing dishes I sweep and mop.”
“Dita?”
“Asku.”
“Oh, she's like us too?”
“Like us?”
“Ya, can see that one.” Dita pointed to a group of bald children with pale faces playing behind the house near where they were washing dishes.
“No. He can't see.”
“Kok that? can't all the descendants see?”
“What descent means yes?”
“Yes those descendants can definitely see or treat, me and my sisters all have the ability.”
“My sister and my mother are not.”
“Loh how can you? Is your mother a commoner?”
“Yes ordinary people, just like us. What else is it?”
“Dit, your mother is not a descendant?”
“What do you mean?”
“Descendants like us, can see ‘they’.”
“No, my mother can't see like us.”
“Pak Mulyana is not married to her custom mate?”
“Adat fool? Moreover?” Aditia's getting dizzy.
“You know that we are you and I must marry the man appointed by the elder? Everyone gets married based on the rules of the elders.”
“It feels too early to talk about marriage at this age of ours.”
“Dit, you don't know that I ...” Ami held back her words.
“What?”
“Hmm, no. I'm done helping you, I'm back in front ya.”
Ami walked over and his face was disappointed. Aditia was upset, why did everyone look disappointed when talking to her.
Aditia finally moved because it was finished, when she woke up suddenly she heard a very strange voice, like a child crying, for some reason she felt she had to come to the child.
Aditia walks into the forest.
The more he entered the forest, the more he heard the crying voice clearly.
“Who's there?” Aditia knew it was a human child, not a demon.
The crying stopped.
“Who is it!” Aditia repeated her question. But there's no answer.
Aditia continued walking, when she passed two trees that lined up like a gate, the tree was not too high and not too big.
Aditia's feet passed through the two trees and as soon as the sky turned bright, the forest turned into a village filled with people, there was a child who played chases, he said, there are stalls that sell vegetables, clothes and others. Similar to the market but not too big, then there are houses lined up made of cubicles.
The stage house, you have to go up the stairs if you want to enter the house here. Aditia was confused, what is this place? is this the village next door, but wasn't it still night before, then why was it here during the day.
Aditia walks and finally finds the source of the voice, a child wearing a white dress squatting and covering her face with both hands.
“De, you why?” Aditia asked, the boy was still crying.
Aditia tries to say hello again, “De, why? where are your parents?” The boy finally pointed behind him, Aditia saw the same house as the other house.
“You want me to drive home?” Aditia asked again.
The boy nodded and reached out his hand, he wanted Aditia to lead him.
Aditia received the helping hand and took him to the house she had appointed.
Aditia knocks on the house, but there is no answer, Aditia says her greeting, but somehow, her voice becomes raucous until her greeting is not heard.
“Assalam ... mu .. a .. la ... i. kum.” Trouble Aditia said hello, still no answer.
“De, no one is open, we take a walk first yuk?”
The little sister nodded, the two of them were about to come down, but suddenly the door of the house opened, someone came out. A woman wearing kemben and rags as a skirt, long hair down to the mere feet say hello. His face was pure white, but somewhat pale.
“Who are you?” tanyakanya.
“I want to take this adek, he cried earlier, may be accompanied by another child.”
“Log in.” The woman asked Aditia to come into the house and bring the little sister in as well.
“I make a drink first yes.” The woman came in, and the little girl sat beside Aditia.
“That was your sister?” The adek nodded in response to Aditia's question.
“It's drinking, warm tea and snack.” The woman said as she brought tea and snacks with the tray.
Aditia was about to drink it but was snatched by the crying little sister earlier. He drank his tea and then ate the snack until it ran out.
“Heh, you are so greedy! Let guests drink and eat!” said the woman.
“Nothing, she may have been tired and hungry earlier crying.”
“Where are you from?” ask the woman.
“From ... from ... where did I?” Aditia forgets where she is from, no wonder why she doesn't feel weird about the change of time, from night to day between this village and also the forest behind Dadan's grandfather.
“Just stay here first. My name is Yahnaweja just call it Yahna. Whose name?”
“De! The de! Don't run, go back home.” Aditia felt that the boy was being naughty once, just running away from home like that.
“De! De!” Aditia continued to chase until she lost the boy at a bend between the road and a stall.
Aditia turned and saw the boy crouching while covering both hands.
“You why you like running so much anyway? I'm tired of chasing you. Running like that was impolite.”
The boy stood up and held Aditia's hand. He pulls Aditia's hand to a stall that's closed, but there's a bench outside the stall they can sit in.
“Why are we here? Your brother is fierce, so you ran, he hit you often?” Aditia saw a lot of bruises on her hands.
The boy nodded.
“Didn't your sister feed either?”
The boy nodded again, he should not be mute because he could answer Aditia's question, meaning he understood the language Aditia spoke.
“Which parent?” The boy shook his head.
“Are they gone?” The boy nodded back.
“Pity you, baby I don't have money, so I can't give you snacks.”
The boy smiled and then he leaned on Aditia's hand, not long after he fell asleep.
Aditia rubbed her head so that the child would sleep peacefully.
Aditia didn't think about why she was here, why she forgot where she was from, she remembered her family, faintly, she remembered her name. But he forgot the details about where he was from before coming here, how old he was or even his friends.
The day changed, the boy woke up. He took Aditia to the river. He was attacking the river water with his small hands, if he was scratched, maybe this child was only about five to six years old, he was wearing a long white dress, the hair was scattered to the knee of her face was very beautiful pure white. But he did not wear footwear, when seen by everyone here turned out not to wear footwear.
“This can we drink?” Aditia asked. The boy nodded and gave the drinking water with both hands.
Aditia took the water from the little girl's hand and drank it, so fresh, it tasted a little sweet. The freshest and tastiest river water Aditia ever drank.
“You're so scared of your sister huh? Till would rather drink here than at home.”
The boy nodded and went back to grazing the water for a drink.
After being satisfied from thirst, Aditia was again pulled by the little boy into a fruit plantation, the plantation was strange. Because the fruit is not uniform. Some are the size of a tangna fist, some are the size of a cherry, some are the size of a papaya. The color is also colorful, whether this is what plantation, in one tree all fruits are shaped, colored and sized differently.
“The boy picked up three cherry-sized fruits all green, he gave them to Aditia to eat.”
“This is for me?” Aditia asked. The boy nodded, “thank you.” Aditia ate it, one fruit, two fruits and stopped, the boy hurriedly asked Aditia to eat the third fruit. Aditia complied though confused.
“Why should I eat cherries like those three?”
The boy showed me his index finger. Then the index, middle and ring fingers together, then show the five fingers.
“Oh, you mean I should eat that fruit in odd quantities?”
The girl nodded.
“Why?” Aditia asked again.
The boy smiled and pulled Aditia back to the closed shop and rested. But not on the front bench of the stall, but in the yard of the stall, although not large, but they can lean.
“We sleep here tonight?” Aditia asked, time is running as usual.
Aditia felt that this child must have been treated harshly by her brother, so she was like this. Afraid home. Then he started thinking hard, why he could be here, why he did not remember before from where, or the memory of his family, Aditia remembered his father and his mother and Dita. But the memories of them why don't they exist.
His headache tried to remember, then he finally fell asleep.
...
The morning came, no chicken crow, someone shouted at Aditia.
“Hei entrants! Wake you! it's my shop, as if sleeping here.” Turns out the shop owner. Aditia wakes up and she doesn't see the little boy anymore, has she returned to her house?
Aditia wakes up and apologizes, she goes straight back to the boy's house and knocks on the door.
The very long haired woman opened the door again.
“You again, what's your name?”
“Your sister is home?”
“Yes, he's home, now he's sleeping, tired of playing he said.”
“Can I see it?” Aditia felt suspicious, she felt disbelief. The boy was beaten by his brother.
“No, you want to go to our room?!”
“Oh sorry. I'm just afraid she's still scared.”
“She just likes to look for people's sympathy. His name is also a child, you must also know the behavior of your sister right? you got a sister?”
Aditia looked confusedly at the woman. Brother ....
“No, I don't have a sister.” Aditia begins to forget to have a sister, but the memory of the parents is still there.
“Oh you deserve not to understand.”
“Your parents are dead?” aditia asked, she went back into the living room and was treated to warm tea and wet cakes.
“No! there's still some, that kid must have told you again, right?”
“Iya, so she lied?”
“Yes, that kid likes to lie for people to feel sorry for. He's a bad boy.”
“But she is very sweet in my opinion.”
“You're a newcomer, a newcomer, who knows his true nature. Sometimes the rough his heart is soft and the good looks his heart is rotten.”
“Automers, then where did I come from?”
“You told me, where are you from and what is your name?”
“I? I'm out of nowhere, I just remember meeting your crying sister. I can't remember at all why I was here.” Aditia looks confused.
“Then, stay here only, about eating I can arrange.” Yahnaweja combed his long hair while teasing the teenager.
“Nothing, I can hitchhike sleeping in an empty stall for a while while I remember what happened.” Aditia refused.
“Here you can live comfortably, provided you want to help here. No free.”
“Oh if working I want, I don't like to trouble others.”
“Then you want to stay here?”
“Ya, I want.”
Dugo!!! Aditia felt her chest hit very hard when she said she was willing to stay together at Yahnaweja's house.
“Why?” Yahnaweja. He still brushed his hair casually, as if seeing Aditia in pain was not a danger.
“No, my chest hurts.”
“Then drink the tea, it can warm you and also eat the snack.”
“Iya thank you.” Aditia raised her glass and was about to drink it, when she had just met her mouth and the tea was about to enter her mouth, he suddenly coughed from smelling a foul scent that came out of nowhere.
“Why?” Yahnaweja asked again.
“No, sorry, I just choked.” Though he had not drunk and he felt a very foul smell from the glass. Though earlier when served, the aroma of tea is very fragrant jasmine, but why now even the smell of rotten.
Aditia knew something was wrong, so she immediately went to the river, she wanted to drink the fresh and sweet river water.
Strange as to why Aditia had no thoughts of leaving, she even forgot why she was here.
