Nightmare Diaries
Packs

I've been two days overtime. Morning until night is endlessly struggling with documents that are so draining and mind.

Plus the insistence of Mr. Boss who told me to pursue the deadline of the company's design project so that it can be presented as soon as possible.

As a representative of employees appointed directly by the higher-ups makes me unable to do anything other than complete the tasks given.

"It's still not quite his job, Wan?"

"Yes. There's still a lot to prepare."

Ardi who was my co-worker nodded in understanding. Among the many other employees only Ardi was close to me. He knew that the burden I was carrying was so great that he sometimes helped me even if not how much but it was quite lightening.

"Make it Lo." Ardi handed me a box of coffee while gently patting my shoulder. "Don't be too late at home, Lo also needs to rest. I'll go back first."

This is what I love about Ardi. Having a high sense of care and integrity of fellow peers, always spreading an aura of spirit when I was stricken with distress. His positive attitude deserves appreciation.

I'm giving a thumbs up, a sure sign. After that, Ardi stepped out and disappeared from behind the door.

I live alone in the room. Still chatting with computers and some more archives.

I have to complete my duties tonight so I can send the files immediately to Mr. Boss. I can't afford to keep procrastinating because there are still many other tasks to be pursued.

Out there the sky is getting bigger. The moon has formed a perfect round in its own body without the company of anyone. The same fate happened to me.

The piercing loneliness made me feel uncomfortable. There was only the ticking of the clock waiting in the corner there. The cold started to tickle my body, the coffee was also gone.

Whether I heard wrong or what, from the window it was like someone was knocking. And I realized that there was no way anyone would go up to this room on the 3rd floor. I feel bad like I didn't feel like the days before. Maybe because of the exhaustion. I try to refocus.

Hold on a little bit more, a little bit more. I try to get rid of fear by encouraging myself.

But the knocking instead of stopping was even more pronounced. My body suddenly stiffened. Cold sweat begins to appear in the forehead area as well as the heart is racing fast. I ignored that voice as much as I could.

"Oh my God, please protect me from whoever it is. Let me finish the paperwork first."

Like the magic power of the prayer I said, the voice disappeared instantly. I gave thanks in my heart and wished there were no more strange sounds.

"Package!"

I jumped in shock to the point that I had taken a swing to run. I think who it looks like is just a package courier. I rubbed my chest to neutralize this almost dislodged heart.

But wait a minute. I looked up at the clockwork already showing at 12:35 p.m. Is there still someone who wants to deliver packages at this hour, instead of this time of rest? And who's ordering this night's package?

Ah, do not think that the various Erwan, maybe it's a package Mr. Boss ordered for the needs of the company so it must be delivered immediately.

I hurried to get up to open the door. There was no one, just a big box lying under my feet. On top of the box was a piece of paper that read 'package for Erwan'.

My eyes looked to the left to make sure which courier sent this package. To make sure he might have misdelivered because I haven't ordered anything lately. Nihil, the empty corridor is springing up.

This time from my mom. I took the package and brought it to the table. When I'm at home, I'm gonna open it before I have to get this job done first.

Suddenly, my attention was drawn to the package. I wonder what it is. Rarely do I get a shipment usually I give something to Mom.

I slowly pulled the box into my lap. Explain what is in it.

Bruks....

"Geez!" I looked at the source of the voice. The cardboard contains a pile of fallen files strewn across the floor. What else is this? The wind? No way, the window is tightly closed.

My hair is starting to get goosebumps. This bad feeling is back. I better get out of here soon, the files should also be collected again if it is found out Mr. Boss will be complicated business later.

When my feet were about to step, my eyes seemed to catch something in the corner of the window. I narrowed my eyes so I wouldn't look wrong. Nah! Am I hallucinating or what?!

Handed. It's someone's hand. Oh God. Now the fear spread all over my body, leaving my legs limp helpless. I took a few steps back until I couldn't hold my balance, I fell. Along with the hand that gradually began to rise revealed a form that was very terrible.

Long dangling hands full of wounds, big jet-black eyes staring.sharp at me. Like a spider, he continued to creep on the windowpanes until it appeared that his severed body was removing the intestines. The dripping red liquid dirtyed the clear glass.

He tried to break the glass with his head in order to get in.

"Lord, help me. Protect your servant."

I just want to go home. Why did something like this come. My eyes are starting to water. Am I going to die this fast?

"Package!"

It's a joke or something. Why did he even imitate the typical sentence of a package courier. Wait a minute, package? That person gave me this package. Why would he take her again.

Looks like I'll have to check the contents of this package. I also grabbed that thing on the table. Tear the white duct tape and open it.

I was shocked half to death when I saw the contents. The neatly wrapped body and leg pieces became the first objects I saw. Without warning, I threw the box.

"Package!"

The creature looked angry. He was getting more and more crazy trying to shatter the window glass made of thick material. I don't care, I gotta get out of here. I move my legs as hard as I can.

I ran as fast as I could, through the vaguely illuminated corridor. Leaving the room in a mess. Stupid with that is all that matters now I have to go home.

Arriving at the parking lot, I immediately opened the car door, started the engine and gas tanked.

It traumatized me when I had to do my job until midnight. I don't want to experience the same thing again.

The next day, I decided to resign from my duties and ask for someone else to take care of the continuation of the project. First of all Mr. Boss did not allow me to get out of responsibility but after saying the reason and pleading while crying finally Mr. Boss granted it.

I also got away from that exhausting burden. I didn't tell anyone, including the Boss. I just made up excuses by saying that my mom is sick and I have to go home at night to see Mom.

Fortunately, Mr. Boss accepted my reasoning. Let this happen I keep to myself. Fear will have a negative effect on other employees if I spread the news.
