Rian, after his last meeting with Zahra on the riverbank back then, the two of them never met again. However, today Zahra heard from Ratih, his younger brother Rian, that Rian was having serious problems at home.
"Mas Rian, don't want to go out of the room."
Ratih explains that Rian is currently ill and refuses to go for treatment. He isolated himself in his room and refused to eat or drink. It seemed like Rian was going through a severe depression and felt a very heavy emotional burden over the death of Flower.
Ratih also tells Zahra that Rian feels very lost to Bunga, who is actually his lover. Rian feels guilty for the tragic death of Bunga who was raped and murdered one night. The loss of her loved ones in a vile and tragic way has left a deep scar on Rian.
"Mas Rian, blame himself. Hicks ..."
As it turned out, Rian felt unable to do anything to save the Flower. He was caught up in feelings of despair, sadness, and heavy guilt. Finally, this affects his physical and mental health, so that he shut himself in the room without going to treatment too, even though his condition is also not healthy.
"Father has persuaded, Mas Rian. But still could not, even Mas Rian threatened to kill himself if until the door of his room was broken. Huuu ..."
Ratih sobbing recounted the situation to Zahra and Radit, providing a further understanding of Rian's condition and describing the level of despair and trauma he was facing.
Zahra turned to Radit, and vice versa. It seems like they both have the same thoughts.
"Will Zahra and Mas Radit help? Please persuade Mas Rian, that he will talk and get out of his room."
"Yes, we want to. Come on!"
Hearing his request being supported by the two people he met this time, Ratih felt a glimmer of hope. He hoped that the arrival of the two could melt the hardness of his brother's heart, and was willing to open up so as not to dissolve in his self-blame mind.
On the other hand, Zahra along with Radit, who undertakes to visit Rian, hopes to get some explanation about the mysterious death of Flowers and perhaps also to start further investigation. Zahra feels that this visit can provide new clues or information that can help uncover the perpetrators of the crime, given that no one has been caught to date.
When Zahra and Radit arrived at Rian's house, the atmosphere was gloomy. They felt a silence hanging in the air, reflecting the sadness and helplessness experienced by Rian. The house felt quiet and dark, with only a hint of light sneaking in through the closed window slit. Because this situation is also what Rian wants.
"Sir Zahra, try knocking on Mas Rian's door, okay?" Ratih asks Zahra to knock on Rian's room door.
Zahra nodded her assent then gently knocked on Rian's room door, but there was no answer.
Tok tok tok tok
"Rian, it's me, Zahra. Please open the door, okay?" ask Zahra to ask.
After a while of waiting, the door slowly opened, and Rian appeared with a faint look. His face was pale and eyes were marshy, depicting a deep weariness and sadness.
Tok tok tok tok
Zahra again knocked on the door, still being patient and waiting for Rian to open the door of her room.
Clack
The door is open, though not perfect. Rian popped his head, then nodded weakly, gesturing for Zahra and Radit to go inside. After that, the door of the room closed again because Rian did not let anyone else into his room.
Now Rian sat on the edge of the bed, allowing his guest chairman to sit on the chair, which happened to be two seats in his room, through eye conditions.
"Rian, we are very concerned about your situation" Zahra said, in a soft voice after sitting down. "We want to help you, and also find out what really happened to Bunga. The culprits are still not revealed, and every night strange things happen around us."
Rian looked at Zahra, changing. Radit with empty eyes, then slowly began to speak, "I am .. I feel guilty ... I feel like I lost myself. Flowers are everything to me, and I feel like I failed to protect her. I-I, I couldn't do anything the night it happened. It all went by quickly, and I felt trapped in an endless nightmare."
Zahra touched Rian's hand gently, trying to provide support. "We want to help, Rian. We want to seek justice for the Flower. Can you share with us anything you might know or that could lead us on the right track?"
Rian let out a long sigh, and his face looked filled with pain. "I don't know anything, Zahra. That night, everything happened so fast. I just looked at it from afar and felt like I was losing control. But ... Something is not right. I felt an evil presence, a dark force suffocating the room. I don't know who or what it was, but I'm sure that the Flower wasn't alone back then. Someone's controlling him."
Zahra and Radit look at each other, realizing that they have gotten a little new leads. The conversation continued, they were trying to gather all the information they could from Rian to begin further investigation.
In darkness and grief, they are determined to seek the truth and bring justice to the Flower as well as unravel the mystery that haunts the citizens every night.
Radit, as an intel, has a keen investigative instinct and the ability to read one's expressions and behavior. As he was at Rian's side, he silently watched every movement and expression that emerged from Rian's face, trying to look for any signs of truth behind his words.
As Rian spoke of his involvement in Flower's death, Radit felt that there was a slight discrepancy in his expression and tone of voice. There was something that Rian seemed to be hiding or perhaps a feeling of guilt that haunted him. However, Radit could not make a conclusion before having more concrete evidence.
In his heart, Radit recorded every detail and statement of Rian, while relating it to the information he had gathered earlier. He questions whether there is a discrepancy between Rian's story and the facts that have been discovered, as well as whether Rian has a motive or reason to hide the truth.
'He looks tough, but there's uncertainty in his eyes, ' Radit thought. 'I need to find further clues. Does he really know nothing or is there something to hide? I need to find out if there are any witnesses or evidence that could corroborate or refute the story.'
Radit realized the importance of obtaining solid evidence before taking the next step. He knows that only with strong evidence can truth be revealed, and justice be served. While he still did not have a definitive answer, he was determined to continue investigating and examining all possibilities.
In his heart, Radit plans his next steps, including interviews with witnesses, looking for physical traces at the scene.
