Elvano accidentally doesn't tell Valen who Dirly really is. He also did not tell about Dirly giving Valen a false identity. The goal was because he didn't want his sister to get hurt. Elvano chose a gentler way to explain everything to her sister. He hopes that his explanation can be responded to by Valen without having to hurt Valen's feelings. Elvano prefers Valen to think he is cruel for trying to poison his mind to part with Dirly rather than his sister being hurt if he tells the truth.
