Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects

Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects
CHAPTER 15| TRAFFIC JAM TALK

“Oh, haven't we been there?” Felix exclaimed enthusiastically, pointing to the location of the film they were watching.

Selena who fell asleep next to him— rests on Felix's arm that stuck—so more focus on watching the television screen. “Ah! Ranch Kualoa. I still remember how beautiful the scenery there is.”

Felix laughed, hugging Selena tighter and tighter. “Should we have a vacation to Hawaii? You used to be so happy to see the stars sprinkling when we camped there, didn't you?”

The enthusiasm and pleasure on Selena's face faded in an instant. Stars carrying memories in Alaska are scrambling to the surface. For how many times the last two days, Ocean again filled his head.

Selena thought, with her running away to Felix's apartment, then her mood would get better. In fact, he was getting more and more unsettled. In fact, while enjoying the fun time with Felix like now, Selena could not get Ocean out of her mind.

“You know Ursa Major, Felix?” Selena asked quietly.

Felix shook his head. “What is a kind of tourist spot?”

Selena gave a dry laugh, confirming the position of her head on Felix's arm. “It's no use for you to know either. Ursa Major, Greek mythology .. is as insignificant as anyone who ever explained it.”

Not yet had Felix asked further, the doorbell of the apartment sounded first, interrupting them. Felix stood up, stepping up to open the door not far from where they were watching right now.

Just as the door opened, Felix gasped when he saw who was standing in front of him. Tension quickly enveloped them.

“What do you need here, Ocean?”

Selena gasped at Felix's words, hurriedly sitting down. Ocean glanced at her briefly from behind the door to make Selena's heart feel like it's going to break out of place.

Ocean still maintained his rippling face, answering flatly, “I came to pick up Selena. Tell him to come out.”

The atmosphere at the front door of the apartment is getting heated up. Felix clenched his hands and his gaze turned sharp. “What right do you do that?”

“You would obviously lose a lot if I talked about the rights to Selena, Felix. I don't think that's a good idea, given your current position.”

Selena bit her lower lip nervously. He was still hiding behind a long sofa with a foggy mind.

“And you're so sure I'll let you take Selena?” Felix's voice sounded heavier than usual. He was restraining himself from raising his fist against Ocean's face.

Ocean's countenance still remained the same, as if Felix's words meant nothing to him. “I think you'll let me.” Ocean's hand moved to reach into something in his pocket in his suit, holding it out in front of Felix.

Felix was dumbstruck as his gaze swept over the thin object that Ocean was extending out. A photograph. But what makes Felix's heart stop beating is that he and Selena are printed clearly there, carrying groceries and looking friendly out of the apartment. The photo was taken yesterday.

“This ...”

“I got it from a chief editor this morning. Although this matter has been resolved, I cannot guarantee that journalists from other companies will not do the same. And I'm sure you wouldn't like it if the news of your affair spread.”

Selena's body stiffened hearing Ocean's words. The reporters? Jesus, it turns out the starving ink coolies are still trying to catch up to him even though he already has a new life. And what the fuck about infidelity, Ocean is the one who deserves to be called the third person.

Not much different from Selena, Felix freezes, unable to retaliate against Ocean.

Selena bit her lips deeper. He was in deep anxiety that made him have to choose between heart or sanity.

Half a minute, Selena emerged from behind the sofa with a gloomy face. It's not time he was thinking only of himself. Felix's career is at stake here, too. The wisest choice right now was to follow Ocean's words and obscure the rumors of infidelity.

Selena had raised her face towards Felix, speaking through the eyes, before tailing Ocean through the long hallway of the apartment.

...****...

Solid roads, creeping, background vehicle roar and the sound of endless horn, become friends annoying the riders. If it was an ordinary day, Selena would have sighed many times, complaining, while grumbling long. But today, he can only stare silently at skyscrapers and thousands of chaotic vehicles. He had absolutely no intention of opening his mouth or even staring at the Ocean driving next to him.

Nearly fifteen minutes into Ocean's car, Selena's expression remained the same: it was murky and like she was about to throw the man who nudged her into the Red Sea.

“It looks like you're very happy to live with your girlfriend, Selena. You guys look like newlyweds in that photo.” Ocean said sarcastically, his gaze still directed forward.

Selena instead increasingly threw away her face, turned her eyes, seemed not interested in responding to Ocean's remarks.

“I'm really sorry for making you wait so long, Selena.” This time Ocean turned completely to Selena. The car is at a standstill, the new red light will be over in sixty seconds.

Selena flinched, trying to remind herself that Ocean was just a heartless dick. He should not be entangled in his fake words.

“Your father called me, said I should give you a chocolate and a lily. That way you'll forgive me.” Ocean took a short pause, before continuing, “But I don't think that's a good idea. I don't want you to forgive me because I used your weakness.”

Death attack. Selena's expression almost softened because of it. He had to endure it all out for his defense to be impenetrable to the Ocean.

“This will probably sound like an excuse, but that night Agatha—”

“Why should I listen to you about your relationship? Save it for yourself!” Selena snatched quickly, snorting. As fast as lightning, he regretted. He even lost control of himself when the name Agatha was called? It's really embarrassing at once annoying.

A faint smile rose on Ocean's face, saying in a calm voice, “Listen first, Selena. Ovarian cyst. That night Agatha called me while groaning in pain, her condition was terrible when I got there. He has no brothers here, and I'm his closest friend. Before I married you too, he often asked me for help for some things he could not do alone.” Ocean glanced at Selena, trying to analyze her facial features.

Just before Ocean continued his words, the traffic light turned green. Ocean's pressing the gas on his car.

“That night Agatha found out she had a cyst. Worse, the cyst has grown so that surgical removal must be done. He doesn't have a guardian here, so I'm the one representing. Taking care of the administration, completing some data, even in a state of turmoil made me forget to tell you. I can really understand your frustration.”

I don't know since when Selena has turned her head towards Ocean who is busy moving her steering wheel. Half his frustration just evaporated. Selena also suddenly seemed to be able to understand the condition of the Ocean at that time.

“I don't know ...,” said Selena quietly, more like a mutter.

“Sure you don't know. Because every time I mention Agatha you get so pissed off.” Ocean grinned, glancing at Selena. “You're not jealous of him, are you?”
